Management Science and Engineering MS Degree
Overview
Prepare for a career that addresses the technical and managerial needs of private and public organizations. Different from an MBA, the Master’s Program in Management Science and Engineering focuses on technical aspects of leadership. You will learn how to address both the technical and the behavioral challenges of running organizations and complex systems, with an emphasis on quantitative analytic skills and an entrepreneurial spirit.
This program can be completed online or in person, either part-time or full-time. If you plan to pursue the degree online, we encourage you to choose the technology and engineering management concentration. Because this concentration has many online courses available, it provides the most options for online students. However, with careful planning, you can also choose to complete other concentrations online.
Note that not all MS&E courses are available to online learners, and your ability to complete the program online will depend on your area of study.
You may transfer up to 18 credit units towards this degree if you have completed qualifying Stanford graduate courses. Learn more about taking Stanford graduate courses as a non-degree student.
